It is the year 2018 and a friend of mine asked me if I'll help him with the design for his first bigger project. After the first meeting (with few beers and a lot of ideas) we formed the basic concept of the game. Browser-idle-clicker game in the style of civilization games focused on the younger generation of students on collage with a space to learn about discoveries and technologies of humankind. In the beginning was the Word
... and the word was Webilization. We ned to come with a simple name, nothing fancy, nothing imaginary. Something simple with a clear message. After tens of attempts, the winner was chosen. There is The Webilization!
Then there was the brand
Those years I was pretty excited about MBE illustration style. The target group was perfect, so I've decided to pick this style and improve it so it better fits our goals.
The first thing, which I've created with this style was the logotype. We need a scalable, simple approach for a wide range of showcases, so I've decided to have 3 variants for different purposes of display. The main connection between those is the letter "W" and the circular shape of Earth. All within MBE stylization.
For a project like this one, the huge and consistent palette of colors is crucial. So 75 colors were designed.

Finally, we get to the most exciting part of the project ... ICONS! The main idea of the game is to discover new technologies through using your browser (like clicking, scrolling, playing videos, and typing messages) so there need to be a wide range of technologies to discover.

Finally the wireframe
As the last thing I was asked to do, was to design the basic visual of the game (something like an extended wireframe. After this, the design of the alpha version was complete and ready to be put in code.
Sadly the game didn't pass into the beta version and a friend of mine canceled game development, but I'm still looking back for this amazing experience and looking forward to having more like this!
